LAHORE – South African star batsman Hashim Amla stars as World XI beat Pakistan in second T20 international at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore by 7 wickets to level the three match series by 1-1. Amla remains not out at 72 along with Thisara Parera who played a cameo of 47 runs of just 19 balls get last over win over favorite Pakistan.
Earlier today Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first under forecast conditions at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. Pakistan tried to repeat first T20 but failed to put a good total on a batting track and manage to score 174 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in twenty over. Babar Azam and Ahmad Shahzad were the top scorers for Pakistan with 45 and 43 runs.
In reply to Pakistan’s 174 runs World XI have a successful chase thanks to Hashim Amla and Thisara Parera who played gem of a knock. World XI scored 175 runs for the loss of only three wickets in 19.5 overs.
Thisara Parera named the man of the match for his performance.
The third and final match will be played on Firday at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
