Once a pop star turned into a religious preacher Junaid Jamshed is no more with us. He was on board the unfortunate crashed flight PK661. The flight left Chitral for Islamabad today evening but crashed near Havailian, Abbotabad.
Junaid Jamshed 52 was born on September 3, 1964. He was the lead singer of pop band Vital Signs the first major pop band in Pakistan in late 80s and early 90s. He touched the peak of his career after a song “Dil Dil Pakistan” came in the market. “Dil Dil Pakistan” broke all the records in the history of Pakistan music. That song is still every Pakistani’s favorite patriotic song.
He gave many hit albums during his music career. He was a charm for every girl in his early days. His last music album “Dil ki Baat” came in 2004.
Later Junaid left singing and turned towards Islam and become an Islamic preacher. He left singing and became a Naat-Khawan. He joined a “Tableeghi Jamaat” and travel around the world to preach Islamic teachings among the Muslims and Non-Muslims equally.
Junaid Jamshed often remain under heavy criticism over his controversial statements but still a large number of people love him like the day one.
He started clothing business J. and become a very successful businessman. His brand have many stores around the Pakistan. Recently he launched a perfume with the legend Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram.
Junaid was on Tableeghi trip along with his second wife in Chitral, the northern part of Pakistan. He was very active on social media too. Hours before the plane crash Junaid tweeted hi last tweet he was praising the beauty of Chitral by calling it “Heaven on Earth”.

Flight PK661 crashed near Havailian, Abbotabad killing all 42 people on board including Junaid Jamshed and his wife.
