LAHORE – Pakistan beat World XI by 20 runs at their come back game at home soil after 15 years. Earlier today in a historical game World XI captain Faf Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Pakistan made 197 runs for 5 wickets with the help of Babar Azam’s 86 runs on just 52 balls. Shoaib Malik also scored a brisk 38 runs to help Pakistan reach a respectable total.
In reply World XI lost early wickets to Ruman Raees, Faf fu Plessis showed some resistance non of World XI’s batsman able to put a fight.
World XI was 20 runs short to Pakistan’s total of 197, they scored 177. Babar Azam named the man of the match for his 86 runs. Pakistan lead the 3 match Independence Cup series by 1-0.
